Humanitarian Service • Housing & Settlement

Safer shelter.
More resilient communities.

KMGM Humanitarian Service responds to housing vulnerability
through assessment, emergency shelter support, practical
referrals, recovery assistance and community-focused
settlement initiatives.

Our Approach

Shelter support begins with safety, dignity and assessment

Housing needs vary widely. Some households require immediate
temporary shelter, while others need repair support, referrals,
settlement assistance or longer-term recovery planning.

Emergency

Temporary Shelter

Support immediate shelter needs following displacement,
disaster or serious housing disruption.

Recovery

Housing Repair Support

Assist eligible households with practical recovery
pathways where damaged or unsafe housing can be repaired.

Referral

Housing & Social Referrals

Connect households with appropriate public,
community or specialist services when direct
assistance is not sufficient.

Settlement

Community Settlement Support

basic services and wellbeing within settlements
and vulnerable communities.

Shelter challenges can affect health, education, family

appropriate.

Accountability

Housing assistance should be documented and followed through

Household Assessment

Record the nature, urgency and scale of the
housing need before assistance is planned.

Assistance Tracking

Record shelter, repair, material or referral support
provided to households.

Follow-Up

Review whether housing conditions improved and whether
additional assistance remains necessary.
